Telemedicine – also known as telehealth and eHealth services – allows healthcare professionals to speak with you and assess you via a video call.
This allows them to provide an initial diagnosis without the need to visit you or for you to leave your home. It also avoids the risk of infection in doctor’s office and waiting rooms – a particularly important benefit in the age of COVID-19.
